All winners will be announced on the Hunter’s Point South Living Facebook and Twitter pages on Monday, November 17th at noon. About the Lottery Application Process: On October 15th, New York City launched the lottery application process for Hunter’s Point South Crossing and Commons. The two buildings are a short walk from the subway (7, E, G and M lines), the Long Island Rail Road and East River Ferry, offering an easy commute to Midtown Manhattan. The buildings will offer residents generous apartment layouts and a number of shared amenities including: public terraces, fitness centers, tech centers, bike storage, a community roof-top garden, party rooms, laundry rooms, a parking garage and a pet amenity. Both buildings will be fully staffed with 24-hour lobby attendants and an on-site resident manager will also be available.
All apartments will include dishwashers, and each of the two- and three-bedroom apartments will have in-unit washers and dryers. Lottery preferences will first be given to mobility, hearing and/or visually impaired households (7%), to current residents of Queens Community Board 2 neighborhoods (50 %) and then to current New York City municipal employees (5%). One apartment will be reserved for the property manager. The deadline to apply is December 15, 2014. Qualified applicants will begin to be notified of their housing lottery status in early 2015 and the first group of selected residents can expect to begin moving into the buildings in spring 2015.
