A joint venture between Related Companies and Olympia Development, the mixed-use destination will feature affordable and market rate housing, office space, retail, a hotel, a research an innovation center and public green space, adding thousands of jobs and leaving a positive economic impact on the city and region. Visitors were treated to an authentic high tea experience provided by Peak, including teas and specialty foods by classic London retailer Fortnum & Mason. They also participated in British trivia presented by Donna Werner for the chance to win special prizes. Read the Article Pickleball at Wollman introducing new pickleball courts in New York City On April 7th, Central Park's Wollman Rink is debuting 14 new pickleball courts that can be reserved by the hour. Run by CityPickle, the courts will stay open until October, offering players of all ages a place to have fun and hone their skills. Pickleball at Wollman will also give back to the community by providing complimentary court access to select local nonprofits, such as Boys’ Club of New York. A Home for Art and Culture A Home for Art and Culture The Square and Rohi's Readery commemorate Black History Month In February, The Square hosted its second annual Black History Month kickoff event, presented by Rohi's Readery and the Office of African and African American Studies. The celebration, called See What I Can Be!, brought together the West Palm community for a day of learning, fitness, arts and crafts, live performances and family fun. Visitors also explored a local market, which highlighted Black-owned businesses and authors. A Home for Art and Culture A Home for Art and Culture One Flagler commissions large-scale public installation by artist Fred Eversley On December 14th, Related Southeast announced that artist Fred Eversley will create a new public art installation at One Flagler. In partnership with the City of West Palm Beach, Related commissioned Eversley to produce Portals, a large-scale collection of eight parabolic shapes cast in transparent, violet-hued polyurethane resin. The project represents Everley's largest public art installation to date, and is scheduled to be completed by Spring 2024. The community was introduced to an eclectic mix of local, national and international artists working in a variety of mediums, who were happy to share their inspirations and latest works with visitors. A Home for Art and Culture A Home for Art and Culture The Square introduces its newest artist-in-residence, Lulu Varona Throughout September and October, embroidery-based artist Lulu Varona will create new artwork and participate in public events at The Square as part of the New Wave Artist-in-Residence program. Seen at spaces such as BronxArtSpace and Flux Factory, Varona's needlepoint work addresses contemporary issues by incorporating landscapes and their hidden narratives.
