Related Affordable Foundation and Related Management Company have partnered with national nonprofit Urban Alliance, which has a mission to help high school students expand their horizons with equitable and inclusive career opportunities. The organization connects students to paid work experiences, mentorship and professional development that will provide invaluable experience and positively shape their future careers. Working with Chicago Public Schools, Urban Alliance identified high school seniors who were interested in exploring the Property Management Pathway program, and five local students became interns at Related Affordable properties. Through the Urban Alliance High School Internship Program, which started with RMC in November 2022 and will run through July 2023, students are gaining on-site experience at Chicago residences Fullerton Court, Lathrop, Parkway Gardens, Roosevelt Square and Van Buren Park. Students also visited Related Management Company’s Midwest office, where they participated in RMC's New Hire Orientation program and learned more about property management directly from the regional management team. Through the remainder of the program, students will continue their immersive real estate experience in Lunch & Learn sessions with RMC department heads. Related Management is proud to make an impact on students' careers and to help shape a more diverse real estate industry pipeline.
