On February 28th, The Harriet Tubman Building in Far Rockaway hosted an art gallery opening reception. In partnership with WIN and Sugarlift, the exhibition presented artwork created by children who reside in the building, celebrating their creativity with family and friends.

RAF and RMC connect Chicago students with the real estate industry

Related Affordable Foundation and Related Management Company have partnered with national nonprofit Urban Alliance, resulting in local students beginning internships at Chicago Related Affordable properties. Through Urban Alliance's Property Management Pathway program, five students are gaining hands-on experience in the real estate industry and learning directly from Related Management mentors, department heads and team members. Related Management is proud to shape these students' future careers and to contribute to a more diverse real estate industry pipeline. Urban Alliance is a national nonprofit that connects high school seniors to equitable and inclusive work-based opportunities through paid internships across multiple industries and sectors.

Related Argent begins construction on affordable residences at London’s Brent Cross Town

Related Argent is excited to announce that major construction has commenced on the first affordable homes at mixed-use destination Brent Cross Town, bringing hundreds of new jobs and training opportunities to the area as part of the Brent Cross Cricklewood regeneration program. The first building will offer 120 new affordable homes and is set to welcome residents in late 2024. Construction is also progressing on the first homes to buy at Brent Cross Town. The Ashbee building, which will create 107 new homes, is also set to complete by the end of 2024.

We started exclusively as an affordable housing developer in 1972, and today, we are one of the largest developers and preservationists of affordable and workforce housing in the country. Currently, we own and manage 55,000 affordable and workforce housing apartment homes and we are proud to have never converted a single unit of affordable housing to market rate.

This fall, Related Affordable Foundation and nonprofit KABOOM! celebrated the creation of a kid-designed playspace at Southern Hills, which provides an active, social and safe place for kids to have fun and express themselves.

Together with LR Contracting Company and Bowa Construction, Related Midwest broke ground on 900 Randolph in Chicago on November 4th. When completed, 900 Randolph will introduce 300 residences to the Fulton Market neighborhood—with 20 percent to be designated as affordable.

Co-developed by Related Northwest and non-profit Central City Concern, Cedar Commons has opened in East Portland, offering permanently-supportive housing to some of the most vulnerable local residents. Central City Concern will also provide residents with on-site services such as mental health services and employment support and training.

Affordable development Willets Point breaks ground in Queens

The city officially broke ground on the environmental cleanup efforts needed for the Willets Point redevelopment in Queens. The project is being undertaken by a pair of developers called Queens Development Group, which includes Related Companies and Sterling Equities.
