At the annual Palm Beach Food & Wine Fest, gourmands of all ages learned about international cuisines and participated in a weekend full of activities at The Square, including cooking demos, chef competitions and book signings.

Helping raise awareness for a good cause, President Curt Bailey and EVP of Construction Don Biernacki of Related Midwest joined Pastor Corey Brooks to camp overnight on a Woodlawn rooftop—part of a 100-day tent-a-thon organized by Project H.O.O.D. to address violence in Chicago's South Side and raise funds for a new community center.

Residents at Fulton Houses and Elliott-Chelsea Houses, together with the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), have selected Related Companies and Essence as the development team that will deliver comprehensive building and apartment upgrades for the nearly 4,500 residents living in more than 2,054 apartments at four NYCHA campuses: Chelsea, Chelsea Addition, Elliott and Fulton Houses.

Together with LR Contracting Company and Bowa Construction, Related Midwest broke ground on 900 Randolph in Chicago. The 43-story building will introduce 300 luxury apartments—with 20 percent designated as affordable—and will break barriers as Chicago's first high-rise project with an African-American Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) co-leading construction.

Located in NYC's Roosevelt Island neighborhood, Riverwalk Park is a 340-unit permanently affordable development completed in 2020. The Enterprise Green Communities Certified building caters to low-, middle- and moderate-income New Yorkers, including nurses, veterans, teachers and firefighters.

On October 5th, in Springfield, MA, Related Companies hosted the ribbon cutting ceremony of Skyview Downtown. The full $50 million renovation ensured the preservation of this historic property, originally built in 1977, as an affordable community.

Hunter’s Point South is a permanent affordable housing development in Long Island City, Queens, where middle- and moderate-income residents—including teachers, police officers, firefighters, nurses and others—have access to a comprehensive amenity package, including an incredible community garden cared for by the tenants, with the support of GrowNYC.

In early May, Related’s Early Career Network (ECN) hosted its first neighborhood walk with nonprofit Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC, the city's oldest and largest youth mentoring group. The event brought together Hudson Yards employees and students from Manhattan's Leadership & Public Service High School on a scenic walk that started at the Public Square & Gardens and passed through Hudson River Park and the High Line.

At the end of April, team members from Hudson Yards helped local Hudson River Park build a new garden in the northern area of its Compost Center. The volunteers prepared four gardening beds, constructing them from hay bales, wooden railroad ties, gravel, soil and the compost collected from the composting facility, which will help grow fresh vegetables available for harvesting by the park’s more than 17 million annual visitors and members.

Giving back to their communities, three team members behind luxury condominium The Avery arranged a beach cleanup event at Golden Gate Beach in honor of Earth Day. Volunteers across Related Management Company spent hours beautifying the beach to help make a positive impact on the environment and the community.

On March 22nd, Related team members joined staff from the High Line for their annual Spring Cutback event. Volunteers cut and collected overgrown grass to be used for compost, making room for new spring growth, animal species and pollinators.
